I'm TSoulei and I'm a Singer-Songwriter, Lyricist and Poet from Brooklyn, New York. I was born in beautiful Guyana, South America and raised in Brooklyn, New York the Concrete Jungle. I've been writing songs, poems and short stories since 2001, which became my outlet since I wasn't much of a talker. "I suppose I compose a story of all to which I've been exposed" and I do it very well. Welcome to my world. POEM OF THE DAY
MIRROR
Too many distractions
Starting to feel like
contractions
So one by one I started subtracting
Cause ain't no sense in battling
Inside my head, these thoughts keep on rattling
Like why the heck you keep on settling
Afraid to win?
Followed dreams is not a sin
But haters dis the paper
Mad that you're a dream chaser
Tell you money is the root of all evil
Then turn around and act like weasels
All for a piece of pie
They didn't help supply
Aim to shoot you down cause you fly
Better look out for those in disguise
The ones who despise yet say they'll be by your side
Take you for a ride you'll never forget
But somehow regret
Does this sound familiar
Is your vision getting clearer
Or do you still need a mirror?
